3 Overlooked Profit Opportunities on Your Site!

By Yanik Silver www.SurefireMarketing.com

If you're already selling anything online this article is going to show you how to add extra revenue you didn't even know you had "hiding" in your site without getting any more visitors.

* Overlooked Way #1 - An Upsell: If you've been in marketing for any time you've probably heard of "upsells" or "bumps". Car dealers are excellent at using this technique. Once you have agreed to buy a car you then go into the finance office. This finance guy is really another place where they try to extract as much money as possible from you; dealer financing, extended warranties, rust coating, a low-jack security system, etc. These additions will normally add as much, or more, profit to the dealer as the original sale. These are upsells or cross-sells. Another great example is if you've ever called a late night infomercial you will be given an upsell. They will offer you a special deal on the third bottle of super grime cleaner if you buy 2 bottles. These upsells usually end up bringing more profit than the original item people intended to purchase. Why not do the same online? This little "magic trick" can instantly increase your profits 20-66% even without getting any additional businessor website visitors. It works great because your prospect is all hot and heavy and ready to buy. They've got their credit card in their hand and they've already made the commitment. (If you read Robert Cialdini's book "Influence:The Psychology of Persuasion" you'll see commitment and consistency is a key psychological trigger.)There are a couple ways I've successfully used upsells on my sites:First you can use an "intermediary" page. Once prospects click on the order buttons they're taken to a new page (and not the order form). This page tells people about a special offer that is for today only and that they can get a'deluxe' or 'gold' version of the package for X dollars more. You can make the upsell a big dollar amount or a small insignificant little'bump'.

I do this on Instantsalesletters and my numbers have been quite good using this technique - as high as 68% some days. So think about my additional profit margins just by inserting this one extra page. Awesome!Another way of doing this is by "recommending" a product. Anytime you buy something from Amazon - that's exactly what they do. Up comes a page that "Customers who bought __ alsobought__" and then they have a slew of products. Next, you can also have the upsell right on the Order page.I've even used something as simple as putting a check box on my order form on Instantinternetprofits.

It could be that simple. On this we get a 25% upsell rate. Take a look at what appears at the bottom after the customer hasalready filled out their info to buy the course You have to play fair and let people get the original price and package you offered but there's no reason you shouldn't add a complimentary upsell immediately. The upsell is oneof the easiest (and most profitable) techniques you canstart implementing tomorrow. This is like the "would youlike fries" strategy. Unless you're offering "fries" you're missing out on tons and tons of profit. You simply need to come up with a couple more compelling bonuses, packages orup-sells that people will get for the upgrade.* Overlooked Way #2 - Thank You Pages: After upsells, I'd say 'thank you' pages are one of the most overlooked profit hot-spots.

Once again, there areseveral ways I've used this technique. First of all, anytime somebody buys a product from you online - they aretaken to some kind of thank you page. Most people will simply put "Thank you for your order" and that's it. Theyleave the customer with their credit card in their hands togo off to some other website and give them money. Why not give people a special deal on the thank you page or atleast give them links to your other products or otherpeople's products that you make an affiliate commission on? Now if it's a digital product - then they need to get their download but you can also put some recommended resourcesright on the download page.

At the bottom of the digital download page for publicdomainriches we have are recommendation for the new Public Domain Gold Mine(tm) package. Those aren't the only thank you pages. Many people totally forget about the 'thank you' pages that come up after someone signs up for your list. Now where you want to send them will depend on where they are in the sales process -but you can have a list of recommended resources that comesup AFTER people subscribe to your email list. Why not? If that's the last action you were expecting - you should look for ways to profit from this.

* Overlooked Way #3 - Thank You Emails/Confirmations: Don't forget the initial email confirmation you send backto your customers. Last technique we talked about makingoffers on the thank you page but your 'thank you' email is one of the most read emails. In addition to the 'typical'stuff you should include like customer service information, who will bill their credit card, etc why not add a simple P.S. to the bottom of the email like I do offering additional resources (or even a special deal just forcustomers).I guarantee just putting these 3 easy overlooked ways to work on your site will help squeeze out even more profits for you & without adding a single visitor. Give it a try.(c) Surefire Marketing, Inc. ==========================================================Yanik Silver is recognized as the leading expert on creating automatic, moneymaking websites...and he still doesn't know how to put up a website. Create your Moneymaking Blog with an Online Store!

Presented Lorenzo Myers, Internet, and Business Consultant, Coach,

Earn Money on the Internet with an Online Store!
Six Figure Blogging
If you are trying to balance your children with your work, or if you just like the idea of working at home, it couldn't be easier these days to earn with an online store. There are several ways of doing this and you don't need to know a thing about shops or selling! You can learn as you go. There is a wealth of useful information online.

First of all, there is eBay, which nearly everyone has heard of. eBay is the world's largest online store and it is possible to have your own store there. There is an extensive help section on eBay, so you can learn everything about eBay stores before deciding to open one. The choice of what to sell on eBay is vast and the best way to decide is to pick something you are knowledgeable and passionate about. Do you love jewelry? Open a jewelry store. Are you a keen golfer? Sell golfing supplies. It is important to stick to one area (unless you want a bargain basement 'everything for a dollar' type store). Would you rather buy a beauty product from a store specializing in beauty products or a store selling beauty products, computer supplies, board games and goldfish tanks? Exactly. Stick to what you know best.

Another way to earn with an online store is to set up a website and use affiliate links. You need to get a domain name (this is cheap – from $25 a year) because yourshopname.com looks more professional than yourshopname.freesite.com and will be trusted more. Next, you need to decide what to sell and make your website look good. You can either do this yourself, using a template or by experimenting, or pay someone to do it. There are many affiliate sites online. Have a look at webgains.com, i-to-i.com or cj.com for inspiration. When you join an affiliate program, you need to place links for that product on your website. When somebody buys from you, you get the commission. You can have a large range or a small one and using affiliate links should be free.

If you don't want to use eBay or affiliate links, you can make or source your own products to sell online. You could make beauty products, children's toys or knitwear. You could import stock and sell that. Obviously, that would take some research and cash upfront but everyone has to begin somewhere. Just bear in mind that there is fierce competition with online stores, so if you plan to do this as a living rather than a hobby, you will need to devote time to learning about the internet and selling online.

Crucial to whether you will be successful or not is advertising. There is no point in spending time and money cultivating a professional-looking store if nobody can find it! There are many ways to advertise, both online and offline. You can advertise for free using link exchanges. You could make leaflets for friends and family. You could even advertise in your local newspaper.

Be creative, stick to products you understand and are interested in and you have a good chance to make a lot of money with your online store!

Adwords for Free!

A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to get your Google AdWords pay-per-clicks FREE!

Click here to see video presentation

A gentleman from New York discovered what he calls an “oversight” on the part of 99.9% of all marketers that allows him to get otherwise paid-for advertising at Google as well as all other search engines that allow sponsored ads.

And no, nothing about his “secret” is illegal – nor does it require that you know someone on the “inside” at Google, Yahoo, MSN, Overture and others.

Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly “…this is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first … but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it.”

This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children’s toys & games, books, software, and sold not only his own manufactured products but became an affiliate for other web businesses – all the while applying his mastermind secret.

Over the course of nearly eight years the New Englander confesses “I’ve actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret I never had to pay for … and the largest share of which was more recently in Google pay-per-clicks as well as other forms of pad advertising at search engines … all of which I got for free …”

So powerful is his secret that he’s able to monopolize any niche online, and can always secure the top premium spots just above the usual organic results featured at most search engines.

He still has to set up an account with the search engines – but after applying his secret he is removed from having to pay for all the costs otherwise involved.

Again, nothing about his secret is either illegal or robs from the search engines.

One spokesperson from one of the most popular search engines said chuckling after being made privy to this amazing secret “Wow! Ha! This is really unique … and in my expert opinion it would only serve to enhance and bring more business to us at [name of search engine withheld for legal & confidentiality reasons] and not cause us to lose business in the slightest. Amazing!”

The northerner revealed that in this nearly eight years’ period of time since applying his secret he’s done well over $300 million in sales revenue with a most diverse line of products, and most recently in the last two years netted nearly $166 million after really “buckling down and pressing my secret to its fullest potential.”

Now to everyone else’s fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay-per-click ads to the general public. But he’s not promising any of us for how long.

A bit of an eccentric, the gentleman says “We’ll see just how long I can make it available before it saturates things.”

One famous public web guru pointed out that although this man may gain economically more so as a result of the publication of his secret “he’s already so amazingly rich that whether he continues or discontinues its sale will neither make nor break the man, but not grabbing it for yourself while it’s still available could prove disastrous for you as you may only have one chance, and a very limited one at that, to get this.”

It is currently available at:

Write a Short Article to Promote Your Book Online
  1. your article offers to its reader. In the introduction above, the thesis is stated in the last line, "Use these 10 ways to write an article top web sites will clamor for with a link back to where your book is sold."

  2. Know your preferred audience. Just as your book has a target audience, so should your article. One book, "How to Write Your E-Book or Other Book—Fast! is a short, easy-to-read, step-by-step guide to assist professionals with writing, publishing and selling their book.

  3. Write a sparkling opening. Like a headline in a press release or on your book's back cover, your first sentence should grab your readers by the collar so they will keep reading. The opening could use a shocking fact, a question, a benefit, or a compelling story right out of your book. Make the opening a short paragraph, even a single line. Readers want short, concise, digestible information, especially on the Internet.

  4. Illustrate a need. Whatever your topic, show your readers why they need your information. If you have written a book on listening, in your short article discuss how much is at stake for not listening such as divorce or lost business. You may also share the benefits.

  5. Give a brief background of the problem or situation you will solve. One client wrote a book, "The Cure for Multiple Sclerosis." She shares that over 2 million people worldwide with Multiple Sclerosis are diagnosed incurable, that doctors are pressured to use pharmaceuticals, and that the health industry is not about getting people well, but about making money.

  6. Share the problems that result. In "The Cure for Multiple Sclerosis," the problem is that most people rely on western medicine which does not have the answers. Big money is not spent on alternative or complementary ways to prevent and cure chronic diseases, so people with problems get drugs that deplete the immune system.

  7. Give the solution. Your book offers solutions to your reader's challenges or problems. So must your article. Show your readers how to get excellent health, how they can write a book, make more money, or have better relationships.

  8. Show them where to get the solution and how. The article, "How to Listen at Work," needs to suggest where to go or what to do next. You may name a quality book to read (maybe your book!). Mention a seminar or training, or recommend a coach. You may even mention a web site address or 800 number.

  9. Place your article on as many high traffic Internet sites and Opt-in Ezines as you can. Just as feature articles in newspapers are seven times as powerful as advertising, so is your article seven times as powerful as other promotion. People are looking for Free information Online. That's the major reason they surf!
So, now that you know how to write a short article, put it to work for you and submit it to the 400,000 opt-in ezines and top web sites in your field to promote your book.
